Sazanka
A moment to unwind in the city.
Perched on the 41th floor of The Okura Prestige, Sazanka pairs panoramic views with prime wagyu, abalone, Japanese spiny lobster, fine wines, and a dedicated dessert lounge.
01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
Clear skyline vistas from the 41th floor meet the radiant heat of thick iron griddles at Sazanka. Perched at the top of The Okura Prestige, this teppanyaki restaurant pairs expansive views over Tokyo with the understated craft of experienced chefs. Rather than relying on showmanship, the cooking focuses on careful temperature control and prime ingredients, lending the whole dining room a polished, classic composure.
The core of the menu centers on prime selections, branded wagyu, and Kobe beef fillets and sirloins, prized for their delicate marbling and deep savory depth. Steaks are sliced and seared precisely as their fat melts, alongside pristine seafood such as abalone and Japanese spiny lobster, as well as seasonal vegetables coaxed to their best on the iron plate. To close the savory courses, chefs prepare aromatic garlic rice directly on the teppan, accompanied by miso soup and Japanese pickles.
The drinks list ranges from Champagne houses like Krug and fine French vintages to domestic bottlings like The Okura Yamanashi Koshu. Thoughtfully crafted alcohol-free options are just as prominent, including the refreshing Umaji Hopper made with yuzu juice from Umaji in Kochi Prefecture and shiso. Once the meal at the teppan concludes, diners are ushered to a separate dessert room to enjoy sweets and hot coffee at an unhurried pace.
In addition to the lively counter seats, private rooms are available, and the layout incorporates wheelchair-accessible seating and passageways. Reservations are recommended for both lunch and dinner, making it an ideal choice to book ahead for family milestones or business gatherings.
